Terms & Conditions

Bowen River Campdraft is affiliated with the Australian Campdraft Association.

  • “Riders under the age of 18 must wear Helmets whilst mounted on a horse at all ACA affiliated events. Helmets must comply with current safety standards and must be securely fastened under the chin at all times.”
  • The committee reserves the right to alter, abandon or amend all or any parts of the program without further notice.
  • Any competitor wishing to lodge a complaint must do so in writing within one hour of the incident. A $20 fee will apply.
  • All payments are to be made by noon, Thursday 30th May – payments outstanding after this date will be automatically scratched.
  • Prize money to ACA guidelines, R.8 and R.9.
  • Scratchings – as per ACA rule D.5
  • Stallions must be contained per ACA rule 11.2
  • Horses ridden by Junior & Mini competitors are only allowed to be ridden by Junior & Mini competitors.
  • No leads, must ride unassisted
  • If you ride in the Encouragement draft, you cannot ride in the Open/Restricted draft.
  • This event will be held subject to favourable weather conditions.
  • Rider and/or horse may break status the status of a horse winning a campdraft will be determined by the highest class of horse that competes with the exception of Juniors, Juveniles, Ladies, Old Buffers, Associates and Encouragement campdrafts. The winner attains the status of the highest class of horse participating (E.g if one Open horse competes then it is classed as an Open draft).
